East of Logrono on the south bank of the Ebro River. Has a weaker maritime climate and thus less rainfall and droughts
Rioja DOCa notes: Protected from the ocean to the north and heat to the south by two mountain ranges.
Spain notes: Joven, Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva relate to ageing periods.
